The Acupuncture Studies Program is an accredited 3-year Master\'s Degree in Acupuncture. Students gain a comprehensive understanding of Chinese medical theory and the ancient and modern uses of acupuncture. Western biomedical sciences are also taught to develop informed practitioners capable of communicating across medical disciplines and in integrated healthcare settings.
Rigorous academic instruction and early clinical exposure are hallmarks of the program. Students observe experienced faculty practicing many styles of acupuncture and related techniques. Instruction in three traditions of Acupuncture -- Traditional Chinese Medicine, Five Element Acupuncture, and Korean Traditional Acupuncture -- form the foundations of our acupuncture training.
The Won Institute recognizes the intrinsic value of compassion in human interaction and in all healing endeavors. To teach compassion and awareness, meditation training is woven throughout the entire curriculum. Continuity in this practice engages the student in a process of personal exploration and professional development to enhance compassion and awareness.
