Baltimore Hebrew University
Baltimore Hebrew University (BHU) is one of the five original colleges of Jewish studies established throughout the late 19th and early 20th centuries in the major Jewish settlements of Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, and New York City. The colleges were founded to teach the scientific study of Judaism, bible, Hebrew language, rabbinics and Jewish history and literature to teachers and lay leaders.
