Albany Law School - Albany

Located in the heart of New York State’s powerful capital, Albany Law School has been preparing lawyers for 160 years. As the oldest independent law school in the United States, with a close-knit community of dedicated students, our only focus is law.
Our alumni include the current N.Y. state governor, chief counsels, attorney generals, a U.S. president, countless prosecutors and judges, including two U.S. Supreme Court judges.
Our outstanding location offers unparalleled opportunities for law students. Albany, the home of New York\'s highest court, federal courts, and the state legislature, is itself a laboratory for the study of law.
Albany Law School offers J.D., LL.M., and LL.M. for International Law Graduates degrees, 14 concentrations and several joint degrees through accredited colleges and universities in the Capital Region.
A wide array of field placements, including internships through the Albany Law Clinic & Justice Center, and the Government Law Center provide students essential hands-on learning.
Our graduate employment rate has been above the national average for more than 25 years. Our Career Center assists students from their first day at Albany Law, just one of many reasons our students and alumni are exceptionally successful in their careers.
